CPA Licensed Controller

Job Summary

Owning accounting and financial operations, the full-time remote CPA Licensed Controller will manage month-end close processes, oversee external audit relationships, and coordinate tax management while working in a dynamic startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and review the month-end close process, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Own the relationship with external auditors and coordinate information requests while addressing issues that arise
• Oversee accounts payable and expenses, running the payment cycle and troubleshooting the corporate card/expense system

Required qualifications

• Active CPA license with expertise in US GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition
• Experience managing full-cycle month-end and quarter-end close processes, including audits
• Prior experience in a startup environment or with a Big 4 audit firm is a plus
• Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or a rigorous quantitative field
• Strong investigative skills with a high bar for accuracy and attention to detail
