CPA Licensed Controller

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on CPA Licensed Controller, the full-time remote position will manage the integrity and accuracy of accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, billing, collections, and compliance while partnering closely with company leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accurate GAAP financial statements and management reporting
• Oversee accounting for subscription contracts, including revenue recognition and customer invoicing, while aligning with Sales and Operations
• Manage cash forecasting, compliance, and the integrity of accounting systems, ensuring effective internal controls and process documentation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; active CPA strongly preferred
• Approximately 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of financial reporting
• Experience as a Controller or senior accounting leader in a growing software or subscription-based business
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition
• Direct experience with billing, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and external audits
