Job Summary
As a full-time remote M&A and Accounting Policy Manager, the candidate will lead financial due diligence and purchase accounting for acquisitions, while maintaining and evolving accounting policies in alignment with emerging business activities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead financial due diligence on target companies, focusing on quality of earnings analysis and identification of accounting risks
- Own end-to-end purchase accounting for completed acquisitions, ensuring compliance with ASC 805
- Draft technical accounting memos and disclosures for financial filings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of accounting policies
Required qualifications
- 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience; CPA required
- Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, particularly in M&A accounting (ASC 805) and investment accounting (ASC 321, ASC 323)
- Proven experience leading financial due diligence processes and managing external consultants
- Ability to draft clear technical accounting memos and financial statement disclosures
- Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to enhance workflow efficiency
