CPA M&A Accounting Manager

Job Summary

As a full-time remote M&A and Accounting Policy Manager, the candidate will lead financial due diligence and purchase accounting for acquisitions, while maintaining and evolving accounting policies in alignment with emerging business activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial due diligence on target companies, focusing on quality of earnings analysis and identification of accounting risks
• Own end-to-end purchase accounting for completed acquisitions, ensuring compliance with ASC 805
• Draft technical accounting memos and disclosures for financial filings, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of accounting policies

Required qualifications

• 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience; CPA required
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, particularly in M&A accounting (ASC 805) and investment accounting (ASC 321, ASC 323)
• Proven experience leading financial due diligence processes and managing external consultants
• Ability to draft clear technical accounting memos and financial statement disclosures
• Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to enhance workflow efficiency
