Job Summary
Leading financial due diligence and accounting policy evolution, the full-time M&A and Accounting Policy Manager will serve as the primary accounting resource throughout the M&A and investment transaction lifecycle, working remotely while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead financial due diligence on target companies, including quality of earnings analysis and risk identification
- Own end-to-end purchase accounting for acquisitions under ASC 805, including purchase price allocation and goodwill calculation
- Shape and evolve accounting policies through technical memos and ensure compliance with SOX controls for financial disclosures
Required qualifications
- 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and industry experience; CPA required
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly M&A accounting (ASC 805) and investment accounting (ASC 321, ASC 323)
- Proven experience in leading financial due diligence and managing external consultants across M&A workstreams
- Ability to draft technical accounting memos and financial statement disclosures for cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency and quality
