Job Summary
As a full-time M&A and Accounting Policy Manager, the successful candidate will manage the accounting aspects of M&A and investment transactions, including financial due diligence and purchase accounting, while working remotely and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead financial due diligence on target companies, assessing quality of earnings and accounting risks
- Own end-to-end purchase accounting for acquisitions, including purchase price allocation and goodwill calculation
- Shape and evolve accounting policies through technical memos and ensure compliance with SOX controls
Required qualifications:
- 9+ years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience; CPA required
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including M&A accounting (ASC 805) and investment accounting (ASC 321, ASC 323)
- Proven experience leading financial due diligence and managing external consultants in M&A processes
- Ability to draft technical accounting memos and financial statement disclosures for cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to improve workflow efficiency and output quality
