CPA M&A Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Serving as the primary accounting resource for M&A and investment transactions, the full-time M&A and Accounting Policy Manager will manage financial due diligence, purchase accounting, and the evolution of accounting policies while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial due diligence including quality of earnings analysis and working capital assessments
• Own end-to-end purchase accounting for acquisitions under ASC 805, including purchase price allocation and goodwill calculation
• Drive accounting treatment for strategic investments and deliver transaction-related disclosures for regulatory filings

Required qualifications

• 9+ years of progressive accounting experience with a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience; CPA required
• Extensive knowledge of US GAAP, particularly M&A accounting (ASC 805) and investment accounting (ASC 321, ASC 323)
• Proven experience in leading financial due diligence and managing external consultants across M&A workstreams
• Ability to draft technical accounting memos and financial statement disclosures for cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to enhance workflow efficiency and quality
