Job Summary
Leading financial due diligence and purchase accounting, the full-time M&A and Accounting Policy Manager will serve as the primary accounting resource throughout the M&A and investment transaction lifecycle, working remotely while collaborating with cross-functional teams to evolve accounting policies and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead financial due diligence on target companies, including quality of earnings analysis and working capital assessments
- Own end-to-end purchase accounting for acquisitions under ASC 805, including purchase price allocation and goodwill calculation
- Drive accounting treatment for strategic investments under ASC 321, ASC 323, and ASC 810, while shaping accounting policies through technical memos
Required qualifications:
- 9+ years of progressive accounting experience with a strong mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience; CPA required
- Demonstrated knowledge of US GAAP, including M&A accounting (ASC 805) and investment accounting (ASC 321, ASC 323)
- Proven experience leading financial due diligence and identifying accounting risks in live deal processes
- Track record of managing external consultants across M&A workstreams and delivering quality results
- Ability to draft technical accounting memos and financial statement disclosures for cross-functional stakeholders
