Job Summary
As a full-time M&A and Accounting Policy Manager, the successful candidate will manage the full M&A and investment transaction lifecycle, including financial due diligence, purchase accounting, and accounting policy evolution, while working remotely with quarterly in-person collaboration sessions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead financial due diligence on target companies, focusing on quality of earnings analysis and accounting risk identification
- Own end-to-end purchase accounting for acquisitions under ASC 805, including purchase price allocation and goodwill calculation
- Shape and evolve accounting policies through technical memos and ensure effective SOX controls for financial disclosures
Required qualifications
- 9+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience; CPA required
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly M&A accounting (ASC 805) and investment accounting (ASC 321, ASC 323)
- Proven experience leading financial due diligence and managing external consultants in M&A workstreams
- Ability to draft technical accounting memos and financial statement disclosures for cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to enhance workflow efficiency and quality
