CPA Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Owning the monthly accounting close processes, the full-time Senior Accountant in Capital Markets will manage regulatory reporting and audit readiness for Coinbase's registered Futures Commission Merchant and Broker-Dealer entities while working remotely with quarterly in-person sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of monthly accounting close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Ensure timely submission of regulatory reporting to the CFTC, NFA, and other agencies, meeting daily filing deadlines
• Lead internal and external audit processes, coordinating evidence requests and managing timelines

Required qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or related field with active CPA certification
• 5-7 years of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and/or industry experience within brokerage, FCM, or regulated financial services
• Working knowledge of FINRA/SEC broker-dealer rules and CFTC/NFA regulations
• Experience managing regulatory filings and audit cycles in a compliance-driven environment
• Ability to work EST hours to meet daily regulatory filing deadlines
