CPA Senior Accountant
Job Summary
To support a growing practice, the part-time Senior Accountant, CPA will manage the monthly close process, review financial transactions, and prepare financial statements, all while working remotely as an independent contractor.
Key responsibilities
- Own the monthly close process from start to finish, ensuring accurate financial reporting
- Review and code daily bank and credit card transactions in QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and complete balance sheet reconciliations
Required qualifications
- Active CPA license in good standing in any U.S. state
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with demonstrated month-end close management
- Strong knowledge of accrual-based accounting and U.S. GAAP
- Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online
