CPA Senior Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Leading a small accounting team, the remote Senior Accounting Manager will manage the monthly close process, oversee financial reporting, and enhance internal controls while supporting external audits for a mid-sized, high-growth organization based in the Southeast US.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
• Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals while serving as a technical accounting resource
• Drive process improvements and oversee inventory accounting and related controls

Required qualifications

• CPA designation is required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's preferred
• 6-9 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting (audit) and corporate accounting
• Strong technical accounting expertise with GAAP research and application experience
• Experience in product-based or inventory-driven environments
