CPA Senior Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time remote CPA Senior Accounting Specialist, the ideal candidate will manage audit responses, document reconciliation procedures, and perform variance analysis while engaging with stakeholders to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting for a large federal customer.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with drafting and preparing responses to audit findings, including detailed documentation of issues and remediation steps
• Document comprehensive MCCF Revenue reconciliation procedures and validate source data for accurate reconciliations
• Research and identify root causes of variances between financial systems, providing evidence-based explanations for discrepancies

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing audit projects
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis tools
• Experience in financial statement audits for federal or large private sector organizations
