CPA Senior Controller

Job Summary

Owning the end-to-end accounting function, the full-time remote CPA Senior Controller will manage GAAP compliance, design the chart of accounts, and deliver decision-grade reporting while collaborating closely with executive leadership and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the design and maintenance of the chart of accounts to support audit-ready GAAP reporting and business analytics
• Produce monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc financial reports to inform FP&A forecasts and board narratives
• Manage tax compliance and oversee 409A valuations and equity accounting processes

Required qualifications

• 8-12 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years as a Controller or similar role in a high-growth company
• CPA preferred, with equivalent technical accounting expertise considered
• Big 4 audit experience (Deloitte, EY, KPMG, or PwC) strongly preferred
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite
• Proven experience in managing federal, state, and local tax filings and compliance
