CPA Senior Director of Accounting

Job Summary

Leading a team of accounting professionals, the full-time CPA Senior Director of Accounting will manage operational accounting functions including General Ledger, Close Management, Payroll, and Accounts Payable in a remote setting, ensuring accurate financial reporting and efficient close processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and lead the financial close process
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items
• Develop and mentor a high-performing team while driving operational efficiency and compliance

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in a senior leadership role
• CPA certification with a background in Big 4 or large regional public accounting
• Deep technical knowledge of US GAAP and experience in GL, close management, and payroll accounting
• Prior experience in a publicly traded company with SOX compliance responsibilities
• Proficiency in ERP platforms, with NetSuite experience preferred
