Job Summary

Detail-oriented and experienced, the freelance CPA Skills Subject Matter Expert will work remotely for a short-term engagement to translate high-level audit and tax accounting strategies into actionable learning blueprints, collaborating with the Learning Experience Design team to establish performance and knowledge objectives for early-career CPAs.

Key responsibilities

• Break down complex audit and tax workflows into performance and knowledge objectives for entry-level CPAs
• Define scenarios and virtual simulations by outlining guardrails and decision points based on realistic professional mistakes
• Collaborate with the Learning Experience Design team to create a high-level program design document that accelerates junior CPA performance

Required qualifications

• Deep understanding of daily tasks and workflows in standard audit and tax practice areas
• Ability to deconstruct expertise into clear, step-by-step performance metrics for early-career learners
• Analytical and methodical approach to turning abstract ideas into structured frameworks
• Familiarity with instructional frameworks for mapping learning objectives to simulated environments is a plus
• CPA certification required
