CPA Technical Accounting Advisor

Job Summary

Overseeing complex U.S. GAAP accounting matters, the remote Technical Accounting Advisor will manage the Company's SOX program, ensure compliance with Internal Controls over Financial Reporting, and serve as a liaison between executives and Internal Audit.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Company's SOX program, including risk assessments, process mapping, and control design evaluations
• Communicate with internal and external audit teams, management, and control owners regarding SOX-related matters
• Research and implement new accounting standards while serving as a subject matter expert in complex areas of US GAAP

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree preferred
• CPA preferred
• 5+ years of experience at a Big 4 firm in Audit practice
• 3+ years of public company experience (SEC registrants)
• Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley and COSO frameworks
