CPA Technical Accounting Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Technical Accounting Lead responsible for overseeing technical accounting research and interpretation of accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and implement new accounting and reporting guidance while providing strategic insights
• Research and interpret technical accounting for various corporate topics, including debt and equity transactions
• Review quarterly and annual SEC financial statements and collaborate with external auditors during audits

Required Qualifications

• 4-8 years of experience in a technical accounting role, either in a corporate setting or with a public accounting firm
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP and statutory accounting principles
• Experience in public accounting, auditing, or consulting within the life insurance industry
• Certified Public Accountant designation or a master's degree in accounting or a related business field
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment
