CPA Technical Accounting Manager
Job Summary
To support a growing portfolio of acquisitions, the full-time Technical Accounting Manager will lead the acquisition accounting process, oversee onboarding integration, and ensure compliance with GAAP standards, while working remotely or from locations in San Francisco, Chicago, or Columbus.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead ASC 805 opening balance sheet reviews and purchase price allocations for all acquisitions
- Draft and manage technical accounting memos on complex topics, including revenue recognition and goodwill assessments
- Develop and enhance the onboarding program for newly acquired companies, ensuring smooth integration into accounting and reporting functions
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or consulting
- Extensive experience with ASC 805 and other complex technical accounting matters
- CPA certification required
- Experience in a private equity-backed or high-acquisition-volume environment is a plus
- Familiarity with Business Central, OneStream, Power BI, and/or FloQast is advantageous
