Job Summary
A company is looking for an Ambulatory Coder Denials III, FT, Days, - Remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate coding and facilitate the appeals process for denied professional service claims
- Communicate with providers regarding coding denial issues and ensure documentation supports coding for appeals
- Participate in meetings to improve the overall billing process and assist in identifying training needs
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
- Five (5) years of professional coding and/or billing experience
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
- CPMA or Specialty Coding Certification for assigned specialty is preferred
- Knowledge of governmental and commercial payer guidelines
