Job Summary

A company is looking for an Ambulatory Coder Denials III, FT, Days, - Remote.

Key Responsibilities
  • Validate coding and facilitate the appeals process for denied professional service claims
  • Communicate with providers regarding coding denial issues and ensure documentation supports coding for appeals
  • Participate in meetings to improve the overall billing process and assist in identifying training needs
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
  • Five (5) years of professional coding and/or billing experience
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required
  • CPMA or Specialty Coding Certification for assigned specialty is preferred
  • Knowledge of governmental and commercial payer guidelines
