CPC Certified Anesthesia Coder

Job Summary

To support a growing medical practice, the remote Coder I will abstract data from anesthesia records into the MD Cloud Practice Solutions platform, ensuring accurate CPT and ASA coding while meeting team KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Review anesthesia documentation for required elements and abstract surgical procedures from CPT to ASA codes
• Identify and assign care team providers, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and modifiers
• Meet daily production and quarterly coding audit score requirements while adhering to company policies and procedures

Required qualifications

• Current CPC certification; CANPC is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical coding, with anesthesia coding preferred
• Experience with multiple EMRs and documentation types, including handwritten and electronic records
• Proficient in ICD10 coding guidelines and basic charge capture platforms
• High school graduate or equivalent
