CPC Certified Billing Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Site Billing Specialist, the full-time remote position will manage billing processes, abstract data from medical records, and resolve insurance denials while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and maintaining productivity metrics.

Key responsibilities

• Abstract data from medical records for accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures
• Review and resolve insurance denials and rejections, ensuring timely claims processing
• Act as a resource for staff and providers, offering education on billing and coding guidelines

Required qualifications

• CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification preferred
• Minimum two to three years of billing experience in a physician practice
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
• Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and the public
• Advanced computer knowledge, including Windows-based programs
