CPC Certified Billing Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare practice, the full-time remote Site Billing Specialist will manage billing processes, abstract data from medical records for coding, and resolve insurance denials while ensuring compliance with billing guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Abstracts data from medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures
• Reviews and resolves insurance denials and rejections to facilitate timely claims processing
• Acts as a resource for staff and providers by providing education on billing and coding guidelines

Required qualifications

• CPC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA certification preferred
• Minimum of two to three years of billing experience in a physician practice
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of government provisions and billing guidelines
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Windows-based programs
