Job Summary

Leading a remote team, the full-time CPC Certified Billing Specialist Lead will direct staff on work assignments, monitor compliance with billing guidelines, and serve as a subject matter expert while ensuring efficient handling of patient billing inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Direct staff on work assignments to ensure timely and efficient processing of work queues
• Monitor charge review and denial work queues, maintaining records and conducting follow-ups on discrepancies
• Provide training and feedback to less experienced staff, assisting with complex patient billing inquiries

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 5 years of billing experience in a healthcare environment
• CPC - Certified Professional Coder preferred upon hire
• Knowledge of third-party billing regulations and medical coding conventions
• Strong organizational and computer skills
