CPC Certified Coder II

Job Summary

Working remotely on a per diem basis, the CPC Certified Coder II will code complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties, ensuring compliance with official coding guidelines and payor standards.

Key responsibilities

• Code provider office and hospital charges for various departments based on operative notes and procedural documentation
• Interpret complex surgical services and evaluation and management services to ensure accurate coding
• Maintain compliance with official coding guidelines and payor standards in all coding activities

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding
• 3 years of complex surgical and E&M coding experience in a healthcare setting
• CPC, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA certification required
• Experience coding in specialties such as OB/Gyn, Gastrointestinal, Neurology, Orthopedics, and more
