CPC Certified Coding Coordinator

Job Summary

To support efficient coding operations, the full-time remote CPC Certified Coding Coordinator will evaluate and resolve coding edits in Epic, review medical documentation for accurate coding, and provide education to medical providers and coders.

Key responsibilities:

• Navigate Epic EMR to manage Charge Review, Claim Edit, and Follow-up work queues effectively
• Assign appropriate CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 codes and modifiers based on medical record documentation
• Communicate coding trends and educational opportunities to leadership while conducting quality assurance audits

Required qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of five years of professional fee coding experience, with three years in a specialty service line
• CPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist Physician (CCS-P) credential required
• Experience with E/M coding specific to the assigned specialty service line
• Preferred experience using Epic and managing work queues
