CPC Certified Coding Educator

Job Summary

To enhance coding accuracy and compliance, the full-time remote Provider Coding Educator will educate providers and coding staff on proper coding practices, conduct coding reviews, and respond to coding inquiries while maintaining current certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Educate providers and coding staff on CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding through training sessions and random reviews
• Review and respond to coding questions from physicians and staff, ensuring timely support and communication of billing issues
• Participate in educational workshops and maintain knowledge of state and federal coding regulations to recommend improvements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
• Three years of billing and/or coding experience, or equivalent experience with an associate degree or high school diploma
• CPC - Certified Professional Coder certification
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines
• Instructor status for AAPC PMCC Coding Curriculum, if applicable
