CPC Certified Coding Manager

Job Summary

Managing the operational functions of the Professional Coding Operations team, the full-time remote CPC Certified Coding Manager will oversee coding accuracy, supervise staff, and collaborate with revenue cycle stakeholders to address coding denials and improve educational programs.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor professional billing coding staff while managing day-to-day operations and productivity standards
• Review and validate coding accuracy for diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS systems, ensuring compliance with guidelines
• Analyze coding denials and trends, providing feedback and training to healthcare professionals and coders to enhance performance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• CPC - Certified Professional Coder certification
• Minimum of five years of coding experience, including education and mentoring, with at least three years in a management role
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions, as well as hospital reimbursement methodologies
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
