CPC Certified Coding Manager

Job Summary

To lead and oversee coding and charge capture operations, the full-time remote CPC Certified Coding Manager will ensure accurate and compliant coding within athenaOne, drive clean claim rates, and develop a high-performing team aligned with revenue cycle standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee professional fee coding and ensure compliance with payer and regulatory requirements
• Monitor charge entry accuracy and workflows, collaborating with clinical staff to resolve documentation issues
• Supervise and mentor a team of coders and charge entry specialists, setting performance expectations and conducting training sessions

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in medical coding and/or charge entry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
• Active coding certification (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) required
• Proficiency with athenaOne and knowledge of charge entry workflows
• Strong working knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II, and cardiology-specific coding
• Experience with cardiology services, including cardiac imaging and interventional procedures, is preferred
