CPC Certified Coding Manager

Job Summary

Managing the Professional Coding Operations team, the full-time remote CPC Certified Coding Manager will oversee coding accuracy, supervise staff, and collaborate with revenue cycle stakeholders to address coding denials and improve operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor professional billing coding staff while managing day-to-day operations
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of coding practices and provide training based on audit findings
• Analyze coding denials and collaborate with the Coding Education Team to implement corrective actions and educational programs

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• CPC - Certified Professional Coder certification required
• Minimum of five years of coding experience in an acute care hospital setting, with at least three years in a management role
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions and regulations
• Experience with coding denials and claim edits
