CPC Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Reimbursement Specialist I in the Revenue Cycle department.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs ICD and CPT coding of provider services and verifies charge information
• Codes minor surgical procedures and assigns Evaluation and Management (E/M) codes
• Processes charges in a timely manner and communicates with team members regarding coding issues

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• CPC, CPC-A, or equivalent coding credential required
• Some coding, medical billing, and/or clinical experience preferred
• Understanding of regulatory guidelines including NCDs and LCDs
• Working knowledge of coding, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
