Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist II - Pathology.

Key Responsibilities

• Abstracts and ensures accuracy of patient demographics and coding data elements
• Contacts physicians for clarification on conflicting information in medical records
• Mentors and reviews work of Coding Specialist I and Coding Edit Specialists

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3-4 years of medical professional coding experience required
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification required
• 1-2 years of experience leading others or leading a work stream
• Experience with computer systems for encoding and abstracting required
