CPC Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Coding & Reimbursement Specialist (Contractor) to provide short-term project support within the Physician Payment & Reimbursement function.

Key Responsibilities

• Triage and respond to coding and reimbursement inquiries from urologists and practice managers
• Assist with preparation and follow-up for CPT and RUC-related activities, including analyzing survey data
• Provide strategic advice on insurance coverage, payment policy, and payer issues

Required Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and experience in medical coding and reimbursement; urology coding experience strongly preferred
• CPC certification required
• Knowledge of AMA RUC and CPT processes
• Demonstrated ability to work with large data sets
• Experience with specialty societies, payer policy, and MAC LCDs preferred
