CPC Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the High Value Care Coding Specialist will determine appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes based on clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and improving documentation accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical record documentation to assign appropriate ICD-10-CM codes and ensure compliance with coding standards
• Maintain accurate records of review activities and identify opportunities for operational improvements
• Participate in program-related meetings and staff development activities to enhance coding practices

Required Qualifications

• CPC certification by AAPC is required
• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
• 1+ years of experience in CPT and ICD coding or health information management
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology is required
• CRC certification by AAPC is required within 2 years, with 1 year preferred
