CPC Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the remote Production Coding Specialist III will utilize 5+ years of experience in complex surgical CPT and ICD10 coding, including anesthesia, cardiac, critical care, and interventional radiology, while mentoring junior coders and assisting with escalated cases.

Key responsibilities

• Abstracts and codes surgical procedures, ensuring compliance with CPT and ASA coding standards
• Reviews documentation for accuracy and completeness, providing feedback on escalated cases
• Meets team KPIs for daily production and quarterly coding audits while adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality policies

Required qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 5+ years of complex surgical coding experience, with at least 4 years in anesthesia coding
• Current CPC certification required; CANPC certification is a plus
• Experience with multiple EMRs and documentation types
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF
