CPC Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the CPC Certified Coding Specialist will abstract data from anesthesia records into the MD Cloud Practice Solutions platform, ensuring accurate coding of surgical procedures and compliance with coding guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Review anesthesia documentation for required elements and abstract surgical procedures from CPT codes to ASA codes
• Identify and assign care team providers while ensuring compliance with NCCI bundling and CMS guidelines
• Meet team KPIs, including daily production and quarterly coding audit score requirements

Required qualifications

• Current CPC certification; CANPC is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical coding, with anesthesia coding preferred
• Proficiency in ICD10 coding guidelines and experience with multiple EMRs
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF
