CPC Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a day shift capacity, the Production Coding Specialist I will abstract data from anesthesia records into the MD Cloud Practice Solutions platform, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience with complex surgical CPT and ICD10 coding, with a preference for anesthesia coding experience.

Key responsibilities

• Review anesthesia documentation for required elements and ensure accuracy in coding
• Abstract and code surgical procedures, crosswalking CPT codes to ASA codes
• Meet team KPIs for daily production and quarterly coding audit scores

Required qualifications

• Current CPC certification; CANPC is a plus
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical coding experience, with anesthesia coding preferred
• Experience with multiple EMRs and charge capture platforms
• Proficient in ICD10 coding guidelines and applicable modifiers
• High school diploma or equivalent required
