CPC Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time CPC Certified Coding Specialist to work remotely, who will manage prospective chart reviews, provide clinical documentation improvement feedback to providers, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards in support of accurate coding practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive reviews of medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness of coding
• Provide timely feedback and education to providers on documentation gaps and best practices
• Maintain compliance with coding guidelines and stay updated on regulatory changes

Required qualifications

• CPC certification with experience in risk adjustment coding and clinical documentation improvement (CDI)
• Preferred experience in oncology coding and additional certifications such as CRC or CDEO
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with technology, including electronic health records and communication tools
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and effective working relationships
