CPC Certified Coding Specialist
Job Summary
Working remotely on a day shift basis, the Production Coding Specialist I will abstract data from anesthesia records into the MD Cloud Practice Solutions platform, ensuring accurate coding of surgical procedures and compliance with coding guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Review anesthesia documentation for required elements and ensure accurate coding of surgical procedures
- Abstract anesthesia times and events, identifying care team providers and reviewing for medical direction
- Meet team KPIs including daily production and quarterly coding audit score requirements
Required qualifications
- Current CPC certification; CANPC is a plus
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical coding, with anesthesia coding preferred
- Proficient in ICD10 coding guidelines and experience with multiple EMRs
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe PDF
