CPC Certified E/M Denial Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for an E/M Denial Research Specialist to join their Accounts Receivable Resolution team.

Key Responsibilities

• Research and analyze E/M coding denials for billing accuracy and compliance
• Recommend claim write-offs and necessary corrections to coding based on clinical documentation
• Monitor denial patterns and report findings to management

Required Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Evaluation and Management Coder (CEMC) credential required
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 3-5 years of experience in medical practice billing
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
• Understanding of E/M coding guidelines and claims denial appeal processes
• Intermediate proficiency with PC software and billing or revenue cycle management systems
