Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medical Coder I.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign correct CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes for services and ensure timely billing and processing
• Demonstrate knowledge of relevant regulations and organizational policies
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned in accordance with regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• CPC, CPC-A, CCS, or CCS-P certification required or must be obtained within one year of hire
• Proficient knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding
• Minimum of one year of professional fee coding experience preferred
• Experience with EMR and practice management software required
