Job Summary

To enhance coding accuracy and physician education, a remote contract Physician Coding Educator will deliver targeted training, conduct chart reviews and coding audits, and analyze documentation across ASC, surgical, and outpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver education to physicians and coding staff, translating audit findings into actionable training
• Conduct chart reviews and coding audits to identify documentation gaps and improve compliance
• Analyze coding trends and variances, providing feedback to leadership for documentation improvement initiatives

Required qualifications

• CPC (AAPC) or CCS or CCS-P (AHIMA) certification required
• 3+ years of experience in Professional Fee coding across physician, ASC, surgical, or outpatient settings
• Experience in delivering 1:1 and group training to physicians
• Proficiency in conducting chart reviews and validating documentation accuracy
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating cross-functionally
