CPC Certified Medical Coder

Job Summary

To support a strategic benefit digitization initiative, the remote Certified Medical Coder will apply standardized coding practices, manage code updates, and provide coding support for benefit administration, while working within EST hours on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Apply formal coding standards to interpret and digitize benefit structures
• Develop and maintain groupings of procedures and service codes for accurate benefit alignment
• Update and manage industry standard code updates and benefit plan updates throughout the year

Required qualifications

• Active Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification from AAPC or AHIMA
• 3+ years of experience with coding and reimbursement methodologies (CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10)
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Bachelor's Degree
