Job Summary
Supporting the Medical Policy Team's operations, the full-time remote Medical Policy & Coding Support Coordinator (CPC Certified) will provide medical coding, system configuration, and administrative support, while conducting coding analyses and utilization reporting to recommend updates to medical policies.
Key responsibilities
- Manage monthly Medical Policy production timelines and support Medical Policy Committee operations, including minute-taking and agenda preparation
- Perform coding analyses and generate reports to recommend necessary changes based on medical policy benchmarks and utilization patterns
- Ensure documentation related to health policy decisions is complete and accurate, while updating system configurations as needed
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) required, with the need to maintain certification throughout employment
- 4+ years of experience in provider payment, claims, or medical coding, demonstrating knowledge of ICD-10, HCPC, and CPT
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Proficient with MS Office and technology-savvy, with a commitment to quality and accuracy in all deliverables
