CPC Certified Ophthalmology Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Ophthalmology Coder (pro-fee).

Key Responsibilities

• Assign accurate CPT, HCPCS, Cat II & III codes, modifiers, and ICD-10 codes from operative notes
• Track code assignments via spreadsheet and submit through eBridge with a 48-hour turnaround time
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of coded data in line with industry standards and company policies

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of current ophthalmology coding experience
• Current CPC or equivalent certification through the AAPC or AHIMA
• Expert knowledge in cataract surgery, lens replacements/exchanges, FEMTO laser surgery, and related procedures
• eBridge experience is a bonus but not required
