CPC Certified Ophthalmology Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Ophthalmology Coder (pro-fee).

Key Responsibilities

• Assign CPT, HCPCS, Cat II & III codes, modifiers, and ICD-10 codes from operative notes
• Track code assignments via spreadsheet and ensure a 48-hour turnaround time for submissions
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of coded data in line with industry standards and company policies

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of ophthalmology coding experience, with recent coding experience within the last 6 months
• Current CPC or equivalent certification through AAPC or AHIMA
• Expert knowledge in cataract surgery, lens replacements/exchanges, and related procedures
• Familiarity with HCPC codes for lenses and Cat II & III codes
• eBridge experience is a bonus, but not required
