CPC Certified Physician Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Physician Practice Coder - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts CPT and ICD-10 coding reviews and performs chart audits to ensure accurate coding and charge capture
• Maintains productivity standards and stays updated on coding practices through ongoing education
• Researches coding issues and provides continual coding updates while adhering to hospital policies and safety procedures

Required Qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent work experience of at least 2 years
• CPC - Certified Professional Coder and CPC-A - Certified Professional Coder Apprentice required
• 2-5 years of experience in a multi-specialty physician coding environment
• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10-CM, and CPT-4
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
