CPC Certified Plastic Surgery Coder

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time CPC Certified Plastic Surgery Coder will code physician plastic surgery charges, communicate coding rationale to physicians, and manage inpatient and outpatient plastic surgery coding in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Code physician plastic surgery charges and communicate rationale to physicians
• Handle inpatient and outpatient plastic surgery coding
• Ensure accurate coding for trauma surgery and breast reconstruction related to plastics

Required qualifications

• CPC certification from AAPC
• High School Diploma/GED (relevant experience may substitute for formal education)
• 3+ years of experience coding for plastic surgery
• Experience in trauma surgery coding related to plastics
• Knowledge of breast reconstruction coding and flaps and adjacent tissue transfer
