Job Summary

Providing advanced auditing of revenue cycle functions, the remote Auditor II, Revenue Cycle will conduct comprehensive audits covering registration, coding, billing, and collections while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve system-related issues.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive revenue cycle audits and evaluate billing system performance
• Analyze claim workflows to identify root causes for delayed or inaccurate reimbursements and support billing corrections
• Prepare technical audit reports and collaborate with the Revenue Optimization Audit team to ensure compliance with coding standards

Required qualifications

• Current Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from AAPC or AHIMA required or must be obtained within 1 year
• 4-6 years of auditing or revenue cycle experience, with anesthesia specialization preferred
• Proficiency in claims, denial trends, and payer contract interpretation
• Advanced understanding of revenue cycle processes and healthcare compliance standards
• In-depth knowledge of healthcare billing systems such as Athena, Epic, or Cerner
