CPC Certified Risk Adjustment Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Risk Adjustment Auditor/Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform medical record reviews, coding, abstracting, and analyzing records using ICD-10 guidelines
• Ensure accurate reporting of ICD-10 diagnoses in accordance with CMS/HHS payment and Risk Adjustment guidelines
• Participate in internal/external meetings, provide feedback, and contribute to special projects related to the Risk Adjustment program

Required Qualifications and Education

• CPC coding certification from AAPC or CCS from AHIMA required; CRC required within the first year
• 2-4 years of risk adjustment coding experience required
• Expert knowledge of medical terminology and disease processes
• Working knowledge of CMS/HHS risk adjustment models required
• Associate's degree or higher preferred
