Job Summary

A company is looking for a Remote Full Time Profee General Surgery Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures, ensuring appropriate DRG assignment
• Utilize company applications to enter coded charts in real-time and meet productivity and quality performance requirements
• Participate in team meetings, training, and industry forums while maintaining current coding knowledge and credentials

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience coding a variety of surgical procedures, including neurosurgery and ENT
• CPC certification is required
• Experience with Epic/3M and coding for teaching facilities
• Extensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPS, and CPT coding principles
• Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and reimbursement systems
